If someone experiences a course cancellation, is it still possible for them to attend training?

I have received an email saying "Reason for cancellation: CANCELLED IN A SUBSTITUTION TRANSACTION" for my BAC (basic airborne course). I am just a little confused since no one in my COC has notified me. If anyone experienced this before, was it still possible for you to attend your training?

Typically that mean your unit substituted you for another person. I would contact your COC and see what happened, and why they substituted you for someone else. To answer your other question, yes you could walk to to school like Airborne but it’s by an available slot first come first serve. It can be kinda difficult and a waste of time, not to say you shouldn’t try. First priority is contacting your COC though.

Especially being a Cadet! You’re gonna wanna be sure you’re covered under orderssince it’s an unpaid status tharcsdets attend Airborne School. If you get hurt you lose your chance at wing and possibly even your commission so be sure to check w your COC!

Hmm... You need to talk with your CoC. I believe that means you were swapped out for someone else.

You were definitely substituted for someone else in ATRRS (Army Training Resource Requirement System - where most Army schools seats are filled with students, via a quota system).
You should definitely speak with your chain of command, perhaps there is another seat available in the course, or with another training class. It's all done in ATRRS...
