Anyone else having issues with their Prior Service Bonus?

I re-enlisted May of last year into the Army Reserve. Went back to BT, didn’t need AIT already MOS Q. Now almost a year later...nothing. I’ve heard others are having issues as well. I’ve spoken to my UA and Retention. From what I gather it’s out of their hands due to it being a MEPS contract? Retention says he can see it in his system it’s just not “submitted”. He said somebody just needs to do the paperwork. Anybody else have the same issue? Or solution? Thanks for help.

SGT (Join to see) Your UA is wrong! Retention can't do anything because they didn't have anything to do with it. Continue following up with your chain. Submit a pay inquiry and continue to follow up. When your UA still doesn't what to do anything, go to their boss - the Staff Administrative Assistant at the BN. Continue to follow up. ALWAYS follow up. I was a UA, it is their responsibility as a UA to check on the status of a bonus. PERIOD.

SGT Javier Silva - Update....I have still not received my bonus and I just got off the phone with DFAS and they cannot see any submissions on their end. They said something about my Region (88th) needing to submit a CMA? At least I think that is what she called it. My UA said he had submitted all the paperwork needed and had a response that they needed to see proof of my prior service. He supplied the needed information and I have still not heard anything back. This was 2-3 months ago. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions? This is beyond annoying to say the least.

SGT (Join to see) Now it is time to contact the RSC. If your UA submitted everything they needed to, the RSC will have everything they need to submit their documentation. If the RSC tells you that they don't have it, you're going to have a choice. Either submit an IG complaint, or submit a Congressional inquiry. You can do either of those even before emailing the RSC - up to you. Just depends on how much you want that bonus. The Army isn't meeting their part of the contract.

SGT Javier Silva I’ve reached out to RSC via email. I’ll see what their response is and that will determine my next move I guess. Thanks again for the advice and guidance.

SGT POWERS, Has this been resolved? If not, send me an email and I can find someone to help you.

The UA DOES have to submit paperwork, but you also have to meet the requirements to get the PSEB. Look to see what the Bonus Control Number is on your reenlistment paperwork first, then e mail me if you wish.

it should be listed in the comments or on the actual bonus addendum.
If there is no Bonus Control Number, your Retention did not do their job / or they mislead you.

Alright, I have looked at all the paperwork and all I have is my bonus addendum but I do not see a Bonus Control Number. Just states the bonus amount and pay schedule. Where is says remarks it just refers to the addendum. Is this something you can still help with?

I would have your UA submit it on a Transmittal Letter (TL) one more time. If they do not process the action, the next step is to have the UA send an email to the team assigned to your region to tell you EXACTLY why they are not paying it. If your UA does not know what that is, they should not be a UA. After doing those two actions, hit me up. Then I will do my best to assist. I just don't want to step on toes before we exhaust all resources.
If the UA has e mailed the team in your region already, then have him/her email you the response and the TL they sent up.
