My Coc is working on getting me promoted, I was demoted with Field Grade Article 15 from E-3 to E-1 in year 2017, I did TIG made my rank back to E-3 current,
and S1 told me that soldier with history of rank reduction is not eligible for waiver to SPC. Is this true? What my knowledge is that once I make back my previous rank, then I should be back on normal track of my rank.

AR 600-8-19 (Enlisted Promotions and Reductions): Section II, Paragraph 2-3, Subparagraph C5 states "Any Soldier previously reduced (for misconduct, inefficiency, or cause) must be fully qualified (without a waiver) for promotion to the next higher rank."
If I understand this correctly, then this means that your S1 is correct in that you are not eligible for a waiver since you were administratively reduced.

CPT Lawrence Cable I am retired. I don't run anymore. Ever. I ain't faster than turtles these days.
And, yeah, I have been on the carpet a few times. Art 15 twice. Lost all my rank once. I learned. SLOWLY, but I learned.

SFC Casey O'Mally - Then I absolutely stand corrected. As I had stated in my response "If I understand this correctly..." I have no issues admitting when I'm wrong. Thanks for the fix to my knowledge.

MSG (Join to see) That's what I'm here for! Hey, I got to do SOMETHING with all this free time in retirement. *Sips pina colada on beach*

Definitely should be able to get a waiver for it because you have had 2 ranks between and you should have the time (of being e3 again) to be qualified to meet waiver.
