I am strongly considering re-classing to a 68N (Cardiovascular Specialist). I have heard that the AIT portion is a very intense classroom setting. What exactly is it that I need to study in order to prepare me for this upcoming challenge? Is there a lot of math involved? Please be very detailed with what I need to start studying. Thank you!

Study Cardiovascular A&P, Cardiovascular Medical Terminology, Ultrasound Physics, and review your Algebra. There is a lot of math in both the Pharmacology section and when learning the cardiac calculations.
That will give you a good foundation to start off the class. If you get that really well the rest of it will fall into place.

Two patients show up in hypovolemic shock from IED. One is a 6'1" 200lb man and the other a female 5'8" and 145lbs. Using your table of blood volume calculate how many liters of blood would be necessary for his surgery of 4-8 hours and her surgery of 3 hours out of a 20 liter supply. SPC (Join to see)

SPC (Join to see) Female: (( 0.3561 x (1.73^3))+(0.0308 x 65.77kg)+0.1833) needs less blood 4.05 Liters
Male: 0.3669 x 1.85^3+0.03219x 90.72kg+0.6041 5.82
10.13 Liters
Blood transfusion is 200ml.
200=.2L bags-
1mL drip per second
60 mL per minute
360 ml per hour
3 hours is 1080ml
5 bags for her surgery
1800ml
9 bags for his surgery
10.13L-1.08L-1.8L
7.25L left
Or 36 bags of blood left
Assuming universal donor O
