If a prior service (army back to army) 13B goes to meps and the only jobs offered were 13B, 14T, and 91L and didn’t want any of those jobs because he wanted other MOS’s, would he be able to go back to meps the following month? Any information would be appreciated.

Yes they can always turn down the jobs and return later. As prior service you're very, very limited. You need the Army more than they need you, and your bargaining leverage is very limited. On top of that, there's no guarantee the job you want is going to be there next month.

Gisleidy Lemes 88N isn't a very large MOS so it may take a while to get if it's available. 88K is a small and often over strength MOS. I wouldn't hold out for 88K or 88L which are both watercraft

SFC (Join to see) good to know! He looked at 88n since it was in the business rules but I believe it wasn’t available at the moment for training.

How does it work if you turn down your offers and you want to go back a second time? Suppose you go in March, and they don't offer any jobs you want, and you want to "try again" in May. Do you have to go through medical and all of that again? Or do you just meet with a counselor?

SGT Jamarl Jones I don't know. That will be up to the MEPS policies in place at the time.

There would be no need to go back to MEPS. The recruiter would be able to determine if MEPS had other offers available. The military fills priority first, and since this young man was a former 13B the government would save money I trainjng. Truthfully, the military also looks at re-entry as kind of a gotcha, which if you think about it makes sense. If you quit your job for greener pastures and later went back to your former employer because things didn’t work out the former employer is not likely to offer you anything other than what they have available. The real question is how motivated is this young man regarding serving his country again. It is not just a job! He can either be patientvor take what they offer. Keep in mind that when there are is a surplus in potential new recruits the military does not keep the window open for re-entry.

The recruiter had zero control over the MOS’s offered at MEPS. Nobody knows what MOS’s will be offered by the Departmebt if the Army until said applicant is at MEPS ( PS specific)
