SPC Kubat, I see that you in the NG and are currently in the DC area... if you are interested in visiting or connecting with the SF NG units in West Virginia or in Rhode Island (2 of the nearest units to you at the moment), just let me know and I can connect you directly. Happy to make the intro.

SFC Callan,
Thank you very much. I am working with MAJ Weiss right now to possibly schedule a time for my friend, his family and I to come visit your unit.

That's good. However, there may also be the option of speaking with B Co, 2/20th SFG(A) in MD. If you wish to pursue serving in the Regiment and remain in the Guard, the link below is a good starting point. Best of luck.
The soldiers who make up the Army National Guard Special Forces are unique professionals with an unconventional method for waging war and an innovative approach to winning. They are the best at what t...

Those SF guys wouldn't be on RP if they wanted that much privacy. Plus ANY good NCO would be willing to help you out, SF or not. </span></div>

Best way to connect would be the local SF recruiter, many installations have great train up programs to include physical fitness training with SF. Usually you will get a memo request from them to your unit needing to be signed by your CDR or 1SG. Anytime any of my boys have wanted to pursue SF I make it mandatory for them to do PT with the SF guys. You want it bad enough you'll endure the pretraining too.

SSG Woods,
That's a good point, I will keep that in mind while looking for connections.
1SG Rink,
I will find the local SF Recruiter and see what opportunities are available. I should mention I am in the North Dakota ARNG, so there are no SF units near where I live. Currently, my unit is in the Washington DC area on a state-side deployment, so I will take advantage of the time I have right now.
