What are my chances of getting 2 waivers approved on a warrant packet for 153A?

I am a SFC who is looking to submit a warrant packet for 153A. Currently I’m 2 months away from hitting the 12 year mark for active service. In addition to that, I’m 34 years old. I understand by doing some research that the kind of packet I submit and how my request for waivers are articulated will hold a lot of weight. How much does my military career so far weigh on hrc’s Decision to approve the waivers? A little bit about myself. Currently I’m a Ranger instructor. All of my ncoers are solid, I have 3 deployments all as a leader, I’ve completed all Ncoes required of my rank, ranger qualified, Airborne, Air assault, pathfinder, Rslc, jumpmaster, 131 gt score, and 37 semester hours of college. By no means is my age a factor but I understand the logic behind the afs requirement. Can someone give some guidance on how I should present myself to the board and waiver reviewer(s) so that I have a solid chance of getting picked up. I’m pretty sure I can articulate my desire to become a warrant officer and ability to bring something to the table if given the opportunity. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

CW2 (Join to see) Go for it, you will never know if you don't apply. Let them be the ones that say yes or no. Good luck

If I were you I’d just move quick with the whole process. They are getting very selective with how many senior NCO’s they select for flight training. You’re resume sounds impressive, so I’m sure this will work out for you.

Thank you. The plan is to submit this may. I don’t want to rush to failure by submitting a sub standard packet.

I don't know how much the waivers effect the boards decision unless it's a health issue that would effect your aviation career. I had two medical waivers and still got selected. It's all about how you present yourself on paper, follow then packet instructions and you should be good to go. Best advice is to make yourself seem like a superstar. It's hard for us to talk about ourselves.

CW2 (Join to see) I also have a couple ranger instructor buddies who are pilots now that are around your age who didn't have a problem getting selected.

Well that makes me feel a little less stressed. I’m gonna put my best foot forward and hope for the best.
