I am going to be PCSing to Camp Humphreys, namely 35th Air Defense Artillery. Does anyone know what the 35th is like?

Are you sure it’s Camp Humphreys, 35th ADA was in Osan, which is the Air Force Base.

that's what the EPMD email said, I know they've been moving a lot of units to Camp Humphreys over the last few years

SPC(P) (Join to see) As of right now 35th is still at Osan because of their mission they work alongside the Air Force. Either way you should have a good experience. I’m hoping to go back to Korea for one more tour, it’s an amazing country....

You will mostly likely be staying on base, unless you are married. But if you are married, you will have to be sponsored in order to bring your family there. Sponsorship requires 2 years commitment. For E-7 and below, you will have to apply to own a vehicle there. That is supposed to be done before you go there. These were the rules when I was there 2 years ago. Rules may change.

I chatted with the 35th ADA via their Facebook page. Here was their reply:
"Depends what battalion he is going to. 35th is at Humphreys, Osan, Suwon and Camp Carroll. He will inprocess at Humphreys."
