I have read that it is hard to change MOS’s once you are in a high rank. Is it true?

The only way it could be difficult to change your MOS is if hour current MOS is under strength in that rank. Over strength you are fine. I relcassed as a SGT in 2012. There are still NCOs reclassing to this day. It's a personal choice or based on a medical reclass.

It just depends on what job you have, which one you want, and if you qualify. Some jobs aren't open to lower ranks and some aren't open to higher ranks.

SPC (Join to see) depends on the component and what MOS. The needs of the Army always comes first, so if the Army needs it then there is a good possibility. I know a SGM who reclassed in the Army Reserve. That is extremely rare at that level, but again it all depends on when, what component, and what MOSs.
