I reenlisted in January 2018, I was wondering when I could reclass if I so chose?
Currently infantry, I reenlisted for 5 years, someone mentioned that I could reclass while in my current contract but near the end of it, meaning I would obviously have to extend. Any info given is appreciated.

Did you get a bonus? If you did and you voluntarily change MOS’s you could end up forefiting it, but that all depends on how the transfer is worded. I’m not sure on having to wait until the end of the contract however. I’ll copy those also in this thread...reach out to your CC. If they aren’t around talk to your FLL to set up a time to meet up with them.
Good luck!!

You just reenlisted? Did it come with a bonus? How far from the end of you contract are you trying to transition? All questions you will need to answer with your retention NCO. Thank you for your service.

At this point, whenever. Would I have to forfeit the entire bonus even though I've served some of my contract?

PVT(P) Aaron M. M. Bryant Have you talked to a career counselor? That is your best bet, it all depends on if the MOS you are trying to go to is over strength or not. I know when I was active the 91D's were over strength and they would allow us to switch. Promotion points just sat at 798 for the longest time.

PVT(P) Aaron M. M. Bryant your CC is the SME and the only person capable of processing your Reclass. All you're going to get on here is speculation and out of date information.
