Without a reason it won’t happen. What purpose do you have for early release. Otherwise it is hard to give you an opinion. Thank you for your service.

I had a friend get out early because her year group was over manned at my last command. So there has to be reasons besides personal. We had actual NCs there. Here we do not.

My apologies, I have never seen it happen in the Army. It must be by service. I cannot advise, I do wish you luck.

Why wouldn't you go to your command career counselor, the subject matter expert in this area?

Good evening,
I do not believe he is an expert in the area, but that's a different subject matter. I would like to gather facts and have a counter argument ready when I go in. I'm just not sure where to start. I have asked my supervisor for pointers and he was not sure where to start either. My command is very unique and I just do not want word getting around that I want to get out early.

This is the equivalent of asking Facebook how to tell if you have diabetes, and saying but I don't want to ask my doctor. I literally just sat in a briefing yesterday buy a Navy command career counselor who explained her duties and responsibilities and this is exactly your command career counselors area of expertise and responsibility. Plus, you realize that in order to separate early you would require the acceptance of your command? Also, there is no counter argument when you are discussing regulations and policies.
I do not know about the Navy's early separation policies, but I can tell you that in the army you may contract into the reserves before you finish your term of service, but you may not leave active duty early for that purpose
