If so, was USARC the approving authority? How was your experience and do you have any tips or advice, like how long it took, or if you were able to get it expedited etc? (Army)

I am still waiting on mine to get signed... pffttt the hurry up and wait and wait game. But no USARC is not the approving authority your First General Officer is which is usually the 1 or 2 star general in your division not sure what division you are apart of.

Thank you, It's for my husband. & see that's who he was told was the approving authority this whole time except for like 3 weeks ago. The division general in his unit signed off on the 4187 but his UA told him it had to go up to USARC.

Maiah Faapouli - The company commander can sign off on a 4187. The first General in chain of command is the Approving authority for the 368.

It took 3-4 months for the G-1 to sign my DD 368. It's easier said then done but just have to be patient. Also the recruiter will require other things to be addressed prior to the transfer so get everything squared away ASAP (MEPS, OPAT, etc.) cause the release is only good for 6 months and then you would have to file for an extenstion - best of luck

Are extensions typically approved? I’m requesting an extension with a memo from my recruiter because MEPS had everything for a while.

Everybody got different experiences at my second unit I moved from New Jersey to Fort Gordon Georgia . At my first unit my conditional release was denied by a brigade commander . Here at my new unit I was told that’s they could get my 368 sign within 2 months from the time I submitted so now is all up to waiting game ...
