So I am finishing phase 3 at Ft Sam and I will say this. Phase 2 just changes and get ready to do a lot of writing. Phase 3 for 68w is a ton of information and I loved it. Learned a ton but it is very fast paced. Brush up on TC3, heart rhythms/ ACLS. It will help you. Overall it has made me better. Let me know what else you want to know. Opportunities for leadership, flag privilege, etc.

You should absolutely post this information in a thread. I would have appreciated it when I went through. You’re right, Phase 3 can be a lot to take in if you don’t study ahead and study while you’re there. I’ve graduated and got pinned now. WHERE WAS THIS 3 MONTHS AGO!?

Just got through with ALC at Fort Sam. Phase 2 is your leadership phase and phase 3 is your Health Care Specialist sustainment phase. Phase 2 is mostly understanding regulation and honing in on responsibilities as a leader. Phase 3 is like 68W recert plus. A lot of trauma and primary care training. Both phases require studying outside of classroom hours. PT every morning to include a Commadants run at some point. Opportunities for leadership positions. That pretty much sums it up.

I went years ago and it was just moving from one classroom to another. One consisted of hospital medicine. The other of trauma medicine and trauma lanes as well as a live tissue lab.
