Can anyone tell me what fort Campbell is like? My orders say 101 rep. Which I’m tracking is the improssesing part. And I have a sponsor for 426th bsb. But they’re tracking me as a 92M (mortuary affirms). Today I graduated as a 92Y (unit supply specialist). So I’m curious if it’ll change? And overall what’s its like being at Ft. Campbell. Thanks in advance!!

They have an awesome web page that tells you everything you need to know. You can also request a sponsor. It is a rural area. The training is almost unmatched. The Soldiers are disciplined and hard charging. The leadership is impeccable. However, like everywhere else there are the 5% who are not so hot. You are a PFC, you have seen the good and the bad. When you arrive seek out the good Soldiers to aquaintvyourself with.
Thank you for your service.

You will most likely be stationed with the Sustainment Brigade based off of what you have posted. Granted that could change. Campbell is a nice assignment from my experience there (2014-2017) and I actually still miss it. The mindset is different there but not in a bad way. I advise getting Air Assault knocked out as soon as possible if you are physically qualified as it is sort of a right of passage there that will open up other opportunities. The 101st is the only Air Assault Division in the Army and they take great pride in that so they are obsessed with having as many as possible qualified. Summers are hot and humid and miserable, but winters are mild. Clarksville is a pretty decent place with Nashville being only about 45 mi utes to an hour away. There is plenty of stuff to do outdoors so you shouldn’t be bored. The OPTEMPO is high but not unbearable either. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

The Army is at about 75% fill on 92Y at any given time. You’ll go where the need is in Campbell and which every CSM is the fastest. 426 will want to keep you, depends on USR math
