How soon should I contact my sponsor for my gaining unit?

I'm PCSing to Graff Germany and have a sponsor on my orders but don't know how soon I should contact them?

You should be talking with them as soon as possible and then after that at least once a week, also go on the USAG Bavaria website you can learn a lot of info from there

SPC (Join to see) to build on SSG David McPherson comments, you need to have your sponsor poised to help you. You won't be able to drive when you get there. It will take about two weeks to get the class/test. Have them send you the study materials. Guessing you are coming from IET. You are reliant on your sponsor for the first two weeks in Germany. If you ar married you really need to coordinate guest lodging etc.

If they haven't already contacted you, they are not doing their jobs. Contact them as soon as you deem necessary to ensure your transition to the new duty assignment goes as smoothly as possible.
