What is RallyPoint's position on sharing or selling our military information to non-military websites like Ancestry.com?

Recently I discovered that Together We Served (TWS) was approached by Ancestry.com who offered "billions of dollars" for our private information on their website that we pay a subscription for. I find this very troubling that this was all done behind closed doors and without telling any of the subscribers who create most of the content on TWS. If Ancestry approached TWS, what other military-related websites have had a "billions of dollar" offer for our information. There was also mention that all USAA-related emails pass through TWS first. Who else has sold out their members?
What is RallyPoint's position on this subject? Who else has had this offer from Ancestry to sell out their members? Can any of these websites be trusted with our information especially since some believe they are the guardians of our information?
I cancelled my subscription with TWS and closed my account. Ancestry was already on the top of my list to get rid of years ago. They profit from their free family tree software. Now they want your information without compensation.
Any thoughts?
