Do any of you who are members of a veterans group share your building with anyone else? If so, how do you keep people from stealing things like tables or things like the picture from happening? If not, how did you go about getting your own building if you know?

I'm thinking the officers of your American Legion chapter should have a sit down with the organization you share the building with. Work out any differences before it becomes some sort of feud.

**edited because I typed VFW not American Legion in original post**

I think that's what we'll do, thank you. Our Legion/VFW officers are all dual members anyway. The only issue right now is that we share the building with whoever rents it out. Thankfully, the county is getting on the stolen table issue. I'm hoping it gets returned before the VFW meeting.

Sounds like the Post Commander needs to have a sit down with who shares the building. Are thre not anyplace that are up for rent so the Post can have its own place. I have not seen a Post sharing a facility.

There are a few areas available, but we'll need to have a few more fundraisers before we can afford it. We're slowly working on it, though. That's been one of our goals since the last State convention in San Jose.
