I am not the type to sit around and wait for points to fall. I want to be proactive and max out all the portions of the PPW. My weakest point continues to be awards and I can close the last 30 points to max out the PT test and qual score, but other than that it was just NCOES that was keeping me down. When I first became promotable, I wanted to be one of those guys who got promoted at 798. Despite being maxed out, there is one 35F, alone and unafraid, out there who made points this month. Hats off to you, buddy. I will make it soon too. How do the E4s and SGT(P)s feel about it? Tue, 24 Nov 2015 19:33:11 -0500 35F points are maxed out again. I understand the need for force reduction, but it definitely isn't motivating me to stay in. For our MOS, a lot of the high-quality soldiers/NCOs are going to leave the service because they do have the capabilities and experience to pull in a good position as a civilian. As much as I hate how politics is directly relevant to military funding; we need a republican president to ensure the continued security of our nation. I'm a 35G and all I heard about for the past couple years was the struggle to get promoted to SGT. Fortunately I fell in at the right place and the right time. I saw so many 35F's just putting the board off because they didn't want to be bothered with it because they thought they had all the time in the world. Now they are screwed. You're doing the right thing, just as I did. Get all the points you can and when the day comes that they drop it to pick up a few, you will be ready and get selected and all the members of the pity party won't. Or maybe the points will drop to 39 again like mine did but getting selected with 700+ points will make it that much more gratifying. Keep up the good work man.
