Will having an undocumented allergy to Ciprofloxacin cause any problems at MEPS or with my recruiter?

I would say something to a medical provider if you were being treated. I was allergic to penicillin and it was documented. Never slowed me down in 22+ years. They issued me red tags for my dog tags so they knew not to give me penicillin. Then they issued me other antibiotics as required. Not sure how you confirm/deny that allergy. I don't think you would be untruthful on a health questionnaire. You could put the family history down and say you don't know. It's honest and won't negate your enlistment. Don't think it would be an issue.

In US Army Central Command's medical requirements to enter theater, you could take Ciprofloxacin or Doxycycline as an anti malarial (USCENTCOM 231245Z MAR 17 MOD THIRTEEN TO USCENTCOM INDIVIDUAL PROTECTION AND INDIVIDUAL-UNIT DEPLOYMENT POLICY). This is just one combatant commanders medical requirements.

1. You have nothing to prove that you are allergic to these drugs, you may have a genetic allergy- but that is not proven. 2. It is better to say that you SUSPECT that you are allergic to it. They can probably runs tests to see if you are down the road 3. You only mentioned 1 specific drug causing problems with your family, yet now you are listing 5. Yes it can cause problems at MEPS and the service BECAUSR YOU HAVE NO PROOF!
