When transferring from National Guard to active Army, would I still keep rank and any awards given by the Army National Guard?

Hello everyone. I am currently a split op. I graduated Basic Training August 31st 2017, and am still awaiting my AIT ship date. I am looking to put in a conditional release from National Guard - Active Duty Army via a DD368. I was wondering: how I may be able to start this process still being in RSP, if it would be best to start the process after I graduate AIT, and if it was possible to start the process while still in RSP.
I am going to Fort Sill Oklahoma for 13F AIT, and am wanting to go active as a 13F. Would I still keep rank, and any awards given by the Army National Guard?

Awards - yes, except any state awards. Rank - as a PFC, probably. If you want to go active its worth it even if you have to take an admin bust. You will make it back pretty quick.

MAJ Ronnie Reams
Curious why he would not keep State awards, except, of course, State Unit Awards, that he was not in unit when earned. He cannot wear State awards on a Federal Uniform, but he still has them.

99% your unit won't touch a DD368 until you have at least 3 years in the guard. Even after the 3 years, odds are slim. I have given out many 368s and have yet to see one come back, and I have been in recruiting 2 years now. We even have a national guard recruiter who can't get one signed by the NGB

Talk with your local Army Recruiter. They will have a good idea what your State is doing. Also those releases take some time. As far as going 13F active it will depend on if there are any slots. At your rank I wouldn't think that would be problem. The real problem come after AIT.
