What was the most valuable advice you've ever received in the Military? And from whom?

The most valuable advice I've received was from Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey R. Huggins when he was the 4th Brigade, 2nd ID CSM. He recommended that we pursue higher education and continue a tradition of lifelong learning. I was 28 years old with a high school diploma; today I am 32 and proud to say that I am a recent undergraduate and pursuing a Masters.
