Other than the time you'll be going to your duty station it shouldn't affect much. I guess there's always the chance that you'll lose your first choice of station.

Wasn’t able to include that I’ve only received my soft orders for my station. Being ft. Carson I would really like to keep it! Any difference being soft AKO orders you reckon?

I'm not sure, you might want to ask someone in your chain of command about that.

Hard to tell. Was a particularly duty assignment in a contract? Even so, if the slot that was put aside for you is filled you will go back into the pool and most likely be assigned based on the needs of the Army.
