I have been promoted to PFC but my ERB still says I am PV2. Will it affect my promotion to SPC?

I have been promoted to PFC but my ERB still says I am PVT2 does it affects my promotion to be SPC. My LES and rest of my document say PfC

Not a chance as they are both promotions done by your commander and not a centralized board.

Have you submitted your DA Form 4187 designating your advancement to PFC to your Personnel Office? If you haven't, that is probably why. If you have, then it can be simply explained that the system hasn't updated yet. Relax young troop, this won't affect your chances of making SPC.......as you have six months to go for that. And as long as you have paper documents, you are good.

The Soldier? In my days the orderly room, PSB or 1SG took care of that, we are asking Soldiers to now submit their own orders (4187) for promotion currency on the ERB? As long as finance has it right is what most would say is most important, the DOR will show up correctly once it hits, but I am amazed if this is true that a Soldier would have to submit.

CW5 Sam R. Baker - Sadly, Cheif, more often than not the Soldier has to ensure that their documents are submitted. It's becoming more and more of a reality in many units I've seen.

MSG (Join to see) - I've been running into a lot of self service in shops that were made to serve the Soldier! Unfortunate!
