After being in the Army for 2 years, is it possible to change to the NG at this point of my contract?

I still have 3 years left on my contract but I would like to make a change to the NG now is it possible at this point of my contract?

How to Transfer from Active Duty to the National Guard
Some branches of the U.S. military (such as the Air Force) allow personnel to request early separation to service in the National Guard or Active Reserves.

Going from active duty federal branch to another branch isn’t that difficult. However going from federal to state is different. Check with a local NG recruiter but you may have to finish your initial 3 year reserve time and then you can enlist in the NG
