A new member told me that I was the first to welcome that new member. Does anyone remember going into some place where you knew no one and no one said much to you, if anything?

This site does offer so much, so are we doing enough after getting them here? And just connecting is not enough. We need to engage and really welcome in one way or another. Trust me, acceptance is something that ALL veterans and SMs deserve.

Do you have any ideas? Should we treat new people with respect and deference?

Larry, you were one of the first members to welcome me and it really meant a lot. Thank you for your friendship.

I would love common respect because that is not too much to ask for, since anyone who has felt left out knows that feeling.
