So in CA you can choose if you want to use the girls or boys bathroom based off how you feel not what you physically are. And if I wanted to play on the girls basketball team I could too. <div>Are changes like this coming for the military too?</div><div>http://www.cbsnews.com/news/california-law-allows-transgender-students-to-pick-bathrooms-sports-teams-they-identify-with/<br></div><div class="pta-link-card"><div class="pta-link-card-picture"><img src="http://beta.img.cbsnews.com/i/2013/01/24/d7ed5c4e-1c4c-11e3-9 [login to see] 50598/jerry-brown-AP [login to see] 8.jpg"></div><div class="pta-link-card-content"><div class="pta-link-card-title"><a target="_blank" href="http://www.cbsnews.com/news/california-law-allows-transgender-students-to-pick-bathrooms-sports-teams-they-identify-with/">California law allows transgender students to pick bathrooms, sports teams they identify with</a></div><div class="pta-link-card-description">Governor signs first-of-its-kind bill, requiring public schools to allow K-12 transgender students to choose whichever bathroom or locker room they identify with</div></div><div style="clear:both"></div><div class="pta-box-hide"><i class="icon-remove"></i></div></div>

Maybe if you'd play women's (or transgendered) basketball and were good enough for the WNBA, more people would watch it. ;)

SFC Stephen P me and my wife have a very strong marriage. that doesn't mean she is ok with coed sleeping arrangements. Some things need to stay separate for a reason. If I had to spell it out then I don't think the explanation would seat itself anyway. I'm sure if you ask any spouse if they would like their significant other sharinga latrine or sleeping quarters with the opposite sex, no matter the marital strength, they would say no to the idea.a

I believe that there are a lot of couples with very strong marriages that would think differently if it came down to co-ed everything.

Co gender bathrooms with children, I would have an issue. With adults, not so much. I have been to countries where bathrooms were for both sexes. One time I was in a public bathroom using a urinal and women squatted right next to me, with her baby in tow, to use the hole in the ground. She looked up and said hi and then she completed her business and I did mine and we said good bye. The bathrooms in my college dorm where for the most part co-ed, except for the showers for more obvious reasons. Then again...not always.

I say go big or go homw and adopt the "Starship Troopers" or BSG method of latrine use......If they want us to be all 100% equal and get rid of gender lines, so be it. But don't bitch about the 2nd or 3rd order effects that you did not care to think through......

spot on. funny how everyone wants to be "equal" until it's time to go to the field or they have to take a dump....
