PFC Private RallyPoint Member5596333<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm three years in on asix year contract with the Utah National Guard, and last February I had a seizure. Never had one before, but after that I had one a month or so. My neurologist just diagnosed me and put me on medication. I let the Medics know that I had seizures know during my annual PHA and my chain of command knows. My questions is, is it likely I'll be discharged? If so, how do I go about getting VA benefits if I'm entitled to any? Thanks.3 yrs. On my contract and I was just diagnosed with Epilepsy, what happens now?2020-02-24T19:29:58-05:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member5596333<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I'm three years in on asix year contract with the Utah National Guard, and last February I had a seizure. As for VA benefits, get your exit physical and make sure everything that is wrong is documented and then apply to the VA to get your disability rating. We have some people here in RP who are great advisors for thisResponse by Lt Col Charlie Brown made Feb 24 at 2020 7:34 PM2020-02-24T19:34:06-05:002020-02-24T19:34:06-05:00Lt Col Charlie Brown5596347<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="1607400" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/1607400-30154-aircraft-inertial-and-radar-navigation-systems-repairman">Sgt Private RallyPoint Member</a> advice?Response by Lt Col Charlie Brown made Feb 24 at 2020 7:35 PM2020-02-24T19:35:51-05:002020-02-24T19:35:51-05:00MAJ Ken Landgren5596448<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>.Response by MAJ Ken Landgren made Feb 24 at 2020 8:07 PM2020-02-24T20:07:45-05:002020-02-24T20:07:45-05:00SPC Private RallyPoint Member5596917<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Were you tested for seizures or was it just very obviously a seizures? (I ask because there are mild forms of seizures that can easily be something else if not tested for) <br />Because if there is any chance its not a seizure, you could get a second opinion to avoid medboard (if you want to avoid it at least)Response by SPC Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 24 at 2020 10:38 PM2020-02-24T22:38:31-05:002020-02-24T22:38:31-05:00SPC Linda Chandler5598351<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Make sure everything is put the right way, reread everything during each appointment. Most of everything is on the computer now so don’t let them close it out before you read it. Make sure it says right if it’s right and left if it’s left.
