I'm a non deployed e-4.....Was it a stupid mistake to choose pcs to 2-503 with airborne on my way to Italy instead of a deployment? I keep hearing I screwed up bad.

Why even ask that question. Airborne has called you! How many people can say that they lived in Italy for 3 years? Never second guess when the ship has already sailed. Make the best with what you got....and you did good.

If you're with the 503rd, I guarantee that you will deploy. It just will not be to Iraq or Afghanistan, but the 503rd hits all the hotspots regardless of whether it is a "war zone".

Don't second-guess yourself SSG (Join to see). You made a choice, and took steps down a path. 2/503 is a great unit in a great spot, and you will love it there. It also happens to be a unit that deploys a lot. Don't worry, deployments will find you.
