You have to be Air Assault qualified and have to be selected by your BN to go and interview. Then you'll have to go back through Air Assault school but the standards are much higher. You also have to have longevity. You gotta do 2 years as an instructor at Air Assault school. That's what I remember when I was selected to go and be an Instructor at THE CSM SABALAUSKI AIR ASSAULT SCHOOL!!!

At Ft. Campbell you need to be at least a high speed E-4 aka CPL. Once you go through the interview process you will be placed within a team and assigned an initial class to teach. You will first pass all phases of Air Assault School at a 90% pass rate. You will then learn and be tested multiple times in a "board" and classroom style forum. The material you will teach has a narrative that must be memorized. You will also be grilled with questions and distractions. In addition to this hurdle you must pass ABIC, Fries and Spies, and Rappel Master Course. At this point you will be given approval to teach all of your qualified courses. Durring your minimum 2 year stent in the school-house you will be pushed and encouraged to learn more class narratives, drill and ceremony, and demonstrations. You must have a strong drive and be able to take strong criticism as the Air Assault School will not lower its standards and discipline! An Instructor must become a subject matter expert!
