Of the authors you've read, who would be your favorite? And do you have a favorite book from this author?

For me it would be John C. Maxwell, and I like his book "Everyone Communicates; Few Connect."

SSG (Join to see) & MSgt (Join to see) I've read the entire Mitch Rapp series twice...first as I came across the books, then in order. I hope Kyle Mills is able to fill those shoes.

I should read those someday. The Bourne movies are on my "top 5" list, and books are generally better

Depends on the genre, but based on the overall amount of books that I have read, it is a close tie between Robert Jordan and Dave Duncan and Eric Flint..

Yes Sir he does do that. And tends not to finish a series as well. His Father was a combat engineer as well and he uses those experiences as well. He started a Zombie series it made me angry because again he didn't finish the series I was reading but that series is very good as well. I started reading Jack Campbell's Lost fleet series they are great and he finish's them.

MSG Greg Kelly, it's not a matter of not finishing series, but more that he jumps between writing them. His "Black Tide Rising" (aka Zombie) series is actually not left hanging, but in the active process of being written. The 3rd book was released back in August and the last book will be released in January or February or next year. I'm currently reading his "Legacy of Aldenata" series (the one about the Posleen War).

Yes Sir that is a great series and the one I have been reading for years ever since the first book A Hymn Before Battle he just has not finished he has kind of just left it. Sorry about the Zombie reference Black Tide is really good to I have them all so far but I hope he does not leave me hanging again

MSG Greg Kelly, even there, he really has not left it. "Eye of the Storm" came out recently, and it is the first book in the next trilogy of the "Aldenata" series. I have heard that he will wrap up the trilogy with the two upcoming books. Did you also read the spin-off books of that series (ie Cally's War trilogy, Watch on the Rhine, Yellow Eyes, Tuloriad, the Hero)? Those books actually give more background and link "Eye of the Storm" with "Hell's Faire".
