Our nation debit is up the roof, the uneducated say that it is because of two wars but the reality is that North America is missing a strong manufacturing base it once had.

I believe the solution is to fostering entrepreneurship in our school systems, the unemployed and in our military.   The skills learned by veterans are more than what is needed to become the best CEO's.

So why is there not more "Vetrepreneurs"?  What you think could be done to foster this concept in those getting out of the service for one reason or another?

I've been a Vetreprenuer since I joined the Army. In my personal financial book, I share that being a Soldier is our profession, but we should mind our own business (side business).

I believe... https://www.buyveteran.com/About.aspx publishes a magazine called Vetrepreneur.

Another site is...

http://www.veteranownedbusiness.com/VOB_reciprocal_link.php

Also, ACAP offers a Boots To Business course for those who want to become Vetrepreneurs.

There are several "Vetrepreneurs" on the site, many of which I am sure are not on today.

I agree that we should promote "vetrepreneurship" to all our fellow veterans. Especially since we have the discipline, leadership, and higher risk tolerance than our civilian counterparts. Being able to become a "true" vetrepreneur takes a lot of work. What people don't realize is the real goal of becoming an entrepreneur is to be able to own a business and eventually step back and allow it to run itself and earn income passively. How can we get this mindset out to our veterans?
