What resources does the Army offer for resume writing (haven't been to Soldier For Life yet)?

Through SFL-TAP, you can get assistance for resume writing. The USO also provides services on installations. If you go to the Soldier For Life website (https://soldierforlife.army.mil) and click on the Employment page, there are several listed resources, to include DOL-VETS. One of the pieces of advice I have received is to reach out through LinkedIn to the HR person at the business you are interested in joining, and request feedback on your resume, as each business wants something slightly different and you can't use a generic resume for all job applications. Additional tools you can use are LinkedIn, which offers a free 1-yr premium membership to transitioning service members and has a resume tutorial.
