What was the most random email you have received in the military?

So the other day I had to ensure the soldiers in my company were current with their annual cyber training due to a network reset. I sent an email out to the soldiers that needed to update their certificates. One of the soldiers I had to email was not in my address book. I just looked up in Global by narrowing down to my post. I find the last name and added it to the email. What I didn't realize it wasn't the right first name. I only realized this when this soldier, that I have no clue who they were nor did they know who I was, replied stated they completed the training and they are current. I guess they figured that I was someone in a position that they could trust with giving them a task.
I also recall when I was working in recruiting a soldier in my state was emailing their supply Sergeant about an issue they needed help with. They also used Global. Instead of selecting the soldier they selected the state. So every full time member of my state's National Guard received the email. I am curious how many replied.
What have you encountered while you were in the military? Or, have you had to recall an email? Thanks to Outlook I have done that a couple times. The last thing you want to do is send a product with a bunch of errors in it.

I hate when people respond to "all" telling people to stop responding to "all"

I used to get e-mails intended for the other two Sergeants Major St.Cyr. Sometimes it was a hoot.

I'm guessing that the reply email you got saying that he was current on his training wasn't a soldier thinking you were an unknown officer with the authority to task him. I think the odds are much greater that it was a soldier who decided to screw with an LT who made a mistake and maybe do a fellow unknown soldier a favor by getting him out of some training. ;)

The email said they completed the task and updated their cert. Although the whole post is dealing with the same situation of you are not current.
