Pay and benefits cuts? Will they get approved this time?

I read this article and it makes me wonder if they keep pushing will it get approved sooner or later?

I have a feeling this fight isn't going to go away anytime soon. Lucky for us, all of the Service Organizations (VFW, Legion, AMVETS, DAV, MOAA, TREA, and on down the line) are steadfast in their opposition, and, for the time being at least, so is Congress. Who know what will happen AFTER the elections.

It's inevitable. It's like all the happy horse dung with trying to build casinos in RI. No matter how many times we vote it down, every f--king election they repackage it, reword it and shove it back in our faces. Eventually it will get by. We can only pray that whatever cuts to our benefits those Michael Foxtrots in the big domed building enact, that those exact same cuts get enacted on their benefits as well. They can't have one without the other.
Do our armed forces have a general order 66 like the clone trooper army in Star Wars Episode III? Just a happy thought.

LTC (Join to see) & MSgt (Join to see) order 66 was the order to terminate all the Jedi Knights. In our case it would be to "replace" our congress

Sir, who knows?!?!?!?! It is hard to decide what "they" will do. I have given up trying to figure it out as I am often times wrong!

1SG (Join to see) true true. I am right there with you. We still do not know what this year will be for pay raise. The President recommended 1% the House passed 1.8% and it sounds like the Senate is looking at 1.8% as well. In reality who knows what will ultimately happen, but it will not be 11.7% like in 1981.
