Are we preparing for the next conflict with the right training and equipment ?

As a military force, are we developing the right training and equipment for the next confrontation. How do we train for both an European conflict as well as fighting n the Pacific.

Over the last two conflicts, we have trained and fought with small units a and small unit tactics. Have we developed the right strategy to fight the new conflicts? Thoughts and ideas welcomed by an old border warrior.
