Would you be excited if world war 3 started?

1LT William Clardy - Im a law abiding citizen and I see no reason to have a crew served weapon system in my home. The only reason to have one is to match that which a common criminal would likely possess. The only way they could possess such weaponry, is to have access to it. Most weapons that circulate in the criminal enterprise were stolen or illegally purchased. Regardless, I'm not looking into seeing police officers exchange gun fire with criminals possessing military style weaponry. If you think that SWAT teams possess a greater danger to America than criminals, you are somewhere else buddy.

Well let's talk about that. Why do you think civilians shouldn't possess "Military Style" weapons (AKA - Full autos, Tanks, Artillery, Anti Tank Rocket Launcher, Etc, etc.)

I get the fact that it would outgun the police, but thing is. I highly doubt some dip shit criminal who can barely hold a pistol right, can get in a tank and figure out how to steal it, let alone turn it on.

Then I'm not saying that you have the ammo just stored in your house/tank/thing. I believe there should be a Quarter-Master you go to in the national guard who stores your ammo, and when you want to go take your thing to shoot, you go to him and you get XYZ ammo, and put in it your what ever and you go shoot, then you bring it back on the same day and put it up for later use.

Though I will say, that Semi-auto fire is going to still be the main used function of the gun because full-auto is not precision friendly. Reason being is that when I was shot at, the guy was using semi-auto. And he was really close with shooting at me.

Like tell me did you ever hear from your instructors to use full auto instead of Semi? And did you hear why they say don't.

I can think of a reason why of owning such things.
It's called the Second Amendment and what specifically it says

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

A Militia. A well regulated army of the people. Who is absolutely needed to the security of a free country.

Like back during the war with Britain, they said the same thing you are now saying. 'Oh we don't want you shooting at us with those things' exactly. That's why you Don't act like a ass to get shot at and actually try and maintain civilian relations. Hearts and minds, hearts and minds. The people who would own these things, only own them to have the ultimate safeguard against what could considered Tyrannical behavior. I don't like being a civilian to a government who tells me that I can't do this or that, but when I turn around they do it.

I heard this quote, whether it is true or not. it is irrelevant to me. Though this quote is true in nature

Austin Hocutt - You are absolutely correct. Most criminals will not spend 3000-9000 thousand dollar on rocket launchers. They will steal them for free.

I would love to be able to drive a tank around and run over stuff! Back when I joined females were not allowed to be tank drivers and now that they are I am too old and close to retirement to switch branches and retrain! Maybe I will try and find an old tank to restore.
