Would term limits reduce the current rancor in Congress?

I lived in Louisiana for two and half years, LTC Kevin B.. Corruption in politics is rampant at every level of government there. I was glad when my employer relocated me, and I didn't let the door hit me in the fanny as I left!

I think Tennessee's 4th, 6th and 7th districts have undergone fairly significant changes over time, MCPO Roger Collins. For example, Bart Gordon (D) was indestructible as a U.S. Congressman, representing the 6th district. However, he has always lived in Murfreesboro (Rutherford County), which is now in the 4th district! Williamson County, was originally in the 6th district, but a Democratic Tennessee General Assembly moved it into the 7th district and Gordon ran virtually unopposed for years until he decided not to run for reelection.
Gerrymandering does work both ways, though. Williamson County is a Republican stronghold and when it was moved to an already strongly Republican 7th district, it allowed Marsha Blackburn (R) entrance to the U.S. House, and she has run virtually unopposed since.

I would love to see Marsha take Alexander's Senate seat.

It's just a matter of time, MCPO Roger Collins. She's being groomed for (and has been since her days in the Tennessee State Senate) bigger and better things.
