Has anyone used the Partnership for Youth Success (PaYS) program to find a job after leaving active duty or, if Army Reserve, upon completion of their Initial Entry Training. If yes, how did the program work and what were the advantages/disadvantages? For those of you not familiar with PaYS, here is the link: https://www.armypays.com

Hi LTC Turevon,
I'm one of the Marketing Analyst for the Army PaYS program. As a former recruiter I presented this program in all of my interviews. Now as a marketer for the program I can share with you that we have had some success with Soldiers getting their interview and being hired. On our website you will see some testimonials. Our team of marketers have been in place now since December and one of the things we are stressing to our current partners is to make sure they are updating our database when they interview and/or hire one of our PaYS Soldiers. This is the only way we can capture our ROI. I would love to discuss this with you in greater detail if you like. Please feel free to contact me at:

I will shoot you an email later today because, I am having trouble logging into the system. I was enrolled in the program during my initial enlisted into the army.

LTC Paul Turevon and SFC Damon Stinger, I don't know if this story ever made it into the PaYS program system, but I had a personal success story with one of my Future Soldiers when I was recruiting for the Army. He signed up as a cable line repairman for the Army Reserves, but found himself without work before he shipped. He contacted the PaYS representative on his enlistment packet, and was given an interview with Time Warner Cable and hired less than a week later.

I have not, but know of some who have. While a Recruiting Commander in Philadelphia we had several Soldiers who we put into the USAR utilize this program to gain employment. And I had friend who got out and was hired by the NJ Nets through it. Works as advertised from what I saw.
