I haven't seen any good examples for a Company Commander's chest rig. I require different things to carry than say your average rifleman. I'm also a tanker. Any good examples for a leaders' chest rig? Thanks!

Okay so forget the tank lol
What about for when I'm out of the tank or in my HMWWV?

Exactly, SFC ! CPT, my question lends towards all those magazines. Do you have some sort of rifle as a personal weapon too ?

I'd say the simpler, the better - what you *need* to have, plus a few commonly used odds & ends. What's in the picture looks pretty reasonable to me.

From what I recall, my commanders typically had only their basic equipment loadout (magazines, first aid pouch, water) along with a radio & some writing material.

Yes MAJ (Join to see) ... believe it or not, in 1985, when I was commissioned armor, we still had these... All you really is a pistol and few mags... Like being a MP in combat, if we get to pistols... Shit is not going well...

I was thinking about buying one of these and sporting it as a throwback! Haha How was it?

MAJ (Join to see) - Well, it was all we had... Things are much more ergonomic and sophisticated these days... I would say having as a nice thing to have would be cool, but not to use. I saw some idiot Battalion Commander on the ground during the surge, sporting one with a 9mm.... He looked like an idiot... Of course he was an idiot... The 1911 era chest holster just made it obvious...
