This is more of a "what if" since I am reporting to Fort Campbell next month. I've always known that Korea was an important tour for 74D, but I received an e-mail the other day listing a bunch of requisitions that needed filled and it got me wondering what TOS mark I would need to hit if I wanted to volunteer for a tour.

Call your career manager rather than guess. If you want Korea, ask if you can get diverted to Korea with a return to Ft Campbell.

SSG (Join to see) Don't quote me on this, but I think you have to be on station at least 12 months before you can move again, it's been a while since I PCS'ed without a known exit date.

Thanks. I'd always heard the rule of thumb was 2 years TOS before you can PCS, but I wasn't sure if a "short tour" to Korea had any separate rules.

It's changed to three years. I went into requisitions the other day in ask and it states that in order to put in for one you have to have 36 months on station.

I cannot answer this question for you, but I served three tours in Korea involuntarily as a PFC, SSG, and CPT. It might be helpful if you had my *luck*
