At Lajes we had one and it was a very unique experience because O's and E's both went and it was a place to just let loose and enjoy a good cigar! Have any of yall seen this elsewhere?

Every Saturday night after the weekly full battle brief in Iraq, the congregation would move from the TOC to the rear veranda of the building for stogies and stories.

MAJ Robert (Bob) Petrarca SSgt (Join to see) - Those moments are precious just as the time I spent at Rhein Mein. The Canteen was awesome and the beer and wine was fine. I remember a TV playing AFTRS and talking with other troops.
The picture in my profile was that very TDY and I had just been promoted to E-4 (SrA). I later made E-4 Sgt, when they had that rank.

SSgt (Join to see) - During my time in Germany we had unit get togethers since our units were very small. We also have a TDY to Eglin Air Force on Auxiliary Field #9 and there was a lot of togetherness there. We even played football against Pope Air Force Base and that was fun too.

SSgt (Join to see) - I remember Lages in the Azores. I briefed aircraft to all over the world and it was kind of cool.

SSgt (Join to see) - We briefed places like Zaragosa, Torrejon and Jeddah, Riyad, etc. In turn I learned a lot of Geography and met crews from all over the world.
Those activities mean a lot and you will recollect and pine for them again. See as many places as you can.
