What is your opinion of the ongoing slaughter of christians and others that ISIS believes are not muslim enough?

IS is conducting a campaign the likes of which has happened in Africa for centuries, but has not been seen in the public eye of the West for a long time. This is Total War at its xenith. This is how wars were waged until the turn of the 18th-19th centuries, and even then you would see pillaging and foraging as a requirement for the sustainment of an Army. The systematic destruction of any threat, man woman or child to the establishment of the new state is not something new, and actually best represents the way wars have been fought for the majority of human existence. Only relatively recently have we become moral warriors, concerned with the limitations on war. Even in WWII, we purposely destroyed civilian targets and infrastructure, especially in Japan, with little concern for the collateral damage. IS has none of our restrictions and all of our zeal...and then some. As far as what was done in Iraq previously, that mission was then and this is now. If there was another war in Europe, would we ask..."Was it all in vain?"

The President shouldn't have listened to the public opinion regarding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for pulling out the troops during his campaign.I think he wanted to get more votes for his reelection.
