I administered one. It's a tough test if you're a 12 year old boy. Otherwise, it's ridiculous. The deadlift is 200 pounds or so.

Yeah max is 220 lbs. There was another recruit that did 180 lbs and he only weighs 120 lbs. He did awesome.

My recruiter just facilitated it for our company. What do you think about the standards? To low? To high?

Its about right for what it is and that is a screening test for you to have the basic physical abilities as a jump off point for basic training for your chosen MOS. Yes, the standards are somewhat easy if you have been in for X number of years but there are plenty of recruits/Future Soldiers that cannot meet the minimum standard.

I have been retired since 2009 and served under 2 different APFTs. From reading about the new requirements if appears that the new OPAT was developed for the preteen to be able to pass.
