I always told my folks about the tripod. In order for it to be strong and sturdy all three legs had to be equal in length and strength or it would tip over and crash. The tripod I am referring to is one leg was mental fitness--never stop learning...always strive to make yourself better...read, question, learn. The second leg was physical...have to maintain physical fitness for stress relief and lifelong balance. The third and final leg is the spiritual leg. Whatever that means to you. Every person is spiritual being, some protestant, some catholic, some jewish, some muslim etc etc...Get deep in to it and rely on it. It will carry you through any dark times that surround you. I went into more depth on each but you get the jest of it. If any of these are shorter than another it leans and puts stress on the others. They all have worked to remain in balance.

There is a 2 way communication that needs to happen with this. One for the NCO to bring the attention on regards of the matter and to supply the SM with support and tricks to help them. The other mean of communication is the SM has to listen to what the NCO has to say and to apply it. A lot of SM won't listen because it's a different generation, they do what THEY want to do.

You just have to find that line where you can cross to get their attention for the SM to listen.

MSG (Join to see) - When I'm in uniform acting as a "CFL" no. But if people ask which everybody knows what I do outside of work, I just have them catch me after hours and we talk then. I've had a lot of success working my product and lifestyle changes with clients and due to the success jobs and careers were saved. So to answer your question it's all in how you present it and Know the rules on paper. And when I speak to people I'm very clear as to what we are doing and my role at that moment is not "CFL" but just a friend with some very good knowledge on health and wellness.

PO1 (Join to see) - I'm glad your able to share the products! We are pretty well saturated with advisors in my area and I've been slacking a good bit admitttedly. When I was instructing at the Special Warfare Center I really wanted to share with my students (200+ every 8 weeks). Unfortunately, being the NCOIC made it a bit unethical. Haha.

MSG (Join to see) - I understand completely bro. I def walked a fine line. Didn't have to deal with the "Instructor/Student" deal, but being the Leading Petty Officer of the clinic def put me out there. But I never made a "transaction" during working hours, so my OIC never had a problem. She just told me to remember my position and not rock the proverbial boat. But now I'm back on the west coast and trying to start a new leg, it's hard out here, super saturated area but I'm getting some good leads and starting to work my way into the very closed NSW community, surprisingly a lot of the guys out here know about us. And love Spark and Catalyst...so I'm already getting some new retailers. Just got to keep grinding away and have a goal, that's how I keep myself going.

The SOF community has been a tough egg to crack for me. Guys use what they know and are often against trying something new. "Get that snake oil outta here Scotty!!!" Always more concerned with gains than wellness. Good luck with your new leg!
