Is our country's population ready for a war with a major world power (Russia) or conflict with ISIS?

I know our military is always ready, especially a lot of undeployed newcomers itching for a fight, but do you think our war-weary population and economy is even ready for another war?

I think it has more to do with the interest of the people. If they had a reason they would fight but they don't. They don't see a reason to fight or don't see a benefit. If ISIS came to the US and blow up a city block in NY, the people of the US would be throw full support at killing any ISIS fighter on the planet. It would be he 9/11 effect all over again. Minus that we would not be committed as an nation.

I think if there was a global event that tested the state of "the free world", the country's population would be ready to fight for it.
