I think it definitely could since a lot of their fans are probably conservative in nature (that's my guess). But then, some people say any publicity is good publicity. So who knows. My goal is not for the NFL to make it or not make it. I'll make my choices to support certain businesses or not support them based on my beliefs and convictions and let the chips fall where they may.

Not likely. There's a difference between a 4 minute disruption (which most people saw because the networks broadcast it) and a strike that eliminated around 2 months of games through the post season. The NFL is still playing football.

No matter if you agree or disagree with them it will hurt them. Baseball has recovered but no where near what they once were.

I feel the controversy is not what they are doing, but how and when they do it! Yes the NFL will suffer for it and already is seeing the repercussions!

I've only been to a few NFL games, and I don't watch it on TV. They have the freedom to kneel if they choose, but I believe it's wrong. Just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should. I can assure you that I will never attend another game again-even if it's a free ticket. I will also never watch the Superbowl ever again.

Maybe it's just me, but I am not happy that so many of the NFL players are not standing during the playing of our national anthem. They have other platforms to use for their "protests". I used to get very angry when my sons were playing high school sports and many of their teammates, and some of their coaches, stood on the field joking around and not putting their hands over their hearts during the anthem. So when I see this going on, I keeping thinking of one of my favorite movies, "The Replacements". It dealt with a strike by professional football players, and them being replaced during the strike by guys who really just wanted to play the sport. I would like to see that actually happen right now. Awfully glad to be in Japan right now and not being able to see the games on television because of having to work during the broadcasts. Disappointed that this controversy is going on back home. I'm also not pleased that the Oakland A's catcher started doing this crap over the weekend.

Well considering I haven't watched or purchased any MLB stuff since they shafted us in 1994. I'd say probably yes.
