I'm currently a NG 35F and am interested in going AD. Some people I've talked to have told me that I will lose my MOS when my unit releases me from AD and it's unlikely I will get to keep it. Is this true?

I was an AD 35f for 4 years and when I was in there was a high demand. I ETSed in Dec 2015. You probably can but more than likely you will have to be stationed on FT Bragg

2 leads for me and the process starts for me. My route though is not to stay a 35F. Not interested. 35F currently in AD froze all promotions for a small period. The field got flooded. So, WO is always a way to go if you want active duty.

Problem with SGTs comment is most WOC packets won't even get a second look until E-6 or higher E-5 to be accepted is rare. My buddies are being promoted rapidly because lower enlisted isn't as high as the senior enlisted that stay stagnant in their positions and have no room to increase in rank. However as a PFC we have an extremely high chance to reach SPC with a waiver six months early. I leave in two weeks to my next unit from NG to AD and due to my NCOIC and 1SGs diligence and speed in which they operate.

Oh also the process was pretty easy for me because my NCOIC and 1SGT are badasses. And being a 35F asked some people I know where slots are and your main options right now are Fort Knox, Fort Riley who are deploying to Iraq.

I mean some people will say there's a 6month wait time which I don't even understand but I just asked and they're getting me out, I do everything I'm told I perform well on my PT tests and I was leader for my cell for a reason. So far every NCO I talk to tells me they see something in me and would like me to go through what I want to do for me to be the best soldier I can be. I love the Army both my parents were enlisted my grandparents were enlisted and I couldn't see myself anywhere else. And after training I got home and realized "this isn't me, I'm not meant to be a civilian"
