As an intel soldier that works in HUMINT, you always have a watchful eye of your coalition partners. Just you both have a common goal does not mean you're both going to go about it the same way. Although my pay grade doesn't understand why they made this appointment I guess it's going to work if places like PACOM in Hawaii and army posts like Ft Hood [Canadian Deputy CG] do it. But I'd look at it very closely now that we've had the top CIA kicked out of Germany as well as the whole Ed Snowden mess.

If a NATO command I see no problem but in a strictly US Force I don't agree with it.

I say no for the reason that we the U.S. always have to take the lead. When collations are put together we always put the must manpower in. So I believe our commanders should always be in command. JMHO.
