Sad news Sgt. 1st Class Ommy Irizarry, died Sunday

SGT 1ST Class Ommy Irizarry, from FT. Steward Georgia was killed while on vacation, when he and his daughter were struck by an airplane making an emergency landing on a beach in Florida. Condolences to friends and family of SGT 1ST Class Irizarry.

Wow, my condolences to their family and friends. That is tragic! Of course it hits close to home because he is a brother and RP has brought us all that much closer together.

Sad as this is and yes this is very tragic indeed, I'm trying to figure out if this Irizarry was one of my trainees from many years ago. If this is so than it is even more tragic for me because the Irizarry that I remember was one of the best privates that I ever had the duty and responsibility to train so for me that makes it even more tragic. In any case R.I.P. SFC Irizarry, may you and your lovely duaghter find eternal peace my Comrade-In-Arms!
