Every year I get a since that most people only remember the victims in the towers as that was the majority and don't remember the military/civilians in the Pentagon. Your thoughts? This relates also to how people view Veterans Day, Memorial Day etc as just another holiday while only Active/Veteran families remember.

No. Though the Pentagon and Pennsylvania field are rarely highlighted, they are not forgotten. They were remembered in our military ceremony.. We lost a lot of good people that day, and definitely a few heroes in their own regard. The towers will always be remembered for many reasons, but they are not remembered alone.

Well sir I meant within the civilian sector not the military environment. Active/Reserve typically remember all but I feel civilians view us as different. Some people morn our brother and sisters when they are killed but I feel many don't care as it has no impact on their lives. Before 9/11 the USS Cole was hit, Cobalt Tower etc, know one batted an eye.

yeah...with everything that is going on we will often forget something that has happened...which is why we have a day or a week or a month for everything under the sun.

true, but I get a since most people don't care about the history of those days instead they are just another federal holiday. Every time I see something that involves 9/11 they seem to only reference the towers and those in the Pentagon are just forgotten.

I understand that. I would like to think that most people do care. I would also say that just because it is not at the forefront of their mind's does not mean that they do not care also. There are so many tragedies nowadays that it is hard to keep up. I believe the human psyche is literally overwhelmed....and a sort of mental shutdown is needed or we become desensitized to it all....as in fact it may already have happened.
